This Cookie Policy explains how www.mileviero.com uses cookies and similar technologies. It complements our Privacy Policy.

By default this site sets no cookies. Cookies are used only if and when you accept them in the consent banner.

What cookies and local storage are

Cookies are small files stored on your device by a website. “Local storage” is a similar browser mechanism for small values. Both can be set by the site you visit (first-party) or by a third party whose content is embedded.

Strictly necessary / functional

These make the site work or remember your choices. They are set without consent and store no tracking identifiers:

  • mv_cookie_consent_v1 (local storage) — remembers your cookie choice so the banner doesn’t reappear. Persists until you clear it.
  • mv_lang_choice (local storage) — remembers your language preference for the first-visit language redirect. Persists until you clear it.

Analytics (optional — consent required)

Only after you click “Accept analytics” do we enable Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-EFTR9Q09HE), which sets cookies to measure, in aggregate, how the site is used:

  • _ga — distinguishes visitors. Typical lifetime up to 2 years.
  • _ga_<id> — keeps Google Analytics 4 session state. Typical lifetime up to 2 years.

Before consent, Google Analytics runs in cookieless “consent mode”: no cookies and no persistent identifiers, only aggregated, anonymised measurement. If you decline, it stays cookieless.

Embedded YouTube videos

Video thumbnails load as plain images. A YouTube player loads only when you click play, using youtube-nocookie.com (privacy-enhanced mode). At that point YouTube may set its own cookies, governed by Google’s policies.

Managing your consent

You can change or withdraw consent at any time by clicking “Cookie settings” in the footer, which reopens the banner. You can also delete and block cookies in your browser settings; doing so will not break the site.
